Rental e-scooters are on the rise in large cities, as they offer much more flexibility and time saving potential compared to cars and public transport. The interaction of product and software ultimately determines the success or failure of business models in the so-called sharing economy. It is precisely in this area that GOVECS has made a name for itself worldwide.

Thanks to cooperations with sharing providers in Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam and Rome, amongst others, GOVECS has a market share of 80% in the area of electric scooter sharing in Europe. From the birth of the e-scooter rental in Spain in 2012 to the latest sharing coup with emmy in Berlin:

GOVECS is decisively contributing to the new urban mobility and continuing its expansion course.

  • High quality e-scooters from the European market leader
  • Customized connectivity solutions
  • State-of-the-art technology for your fleet
  • Few wear parts, hardly any downtime, excellent efficiency

When Cooltra, today the world's largest rider rental, introduced the world's first rental e-scooter in Spain in 2012, the fleet consisted exclusively of GOVECS vehicles. The business model took a rapid development and soon transformed into the model of scooter sharing around the world. Thus originated the cooperation with the world's first e-scooter sharing provider Scoot Networks from San Francisco (USA) in 2014.

Today, GOVECS scooters are used by Cooltra in several cities in Spain, Portugal and Italy as sharing vehicles. In addition, renowned sharing providers such as Cityscoot in Paris (France) and Felyx in Amsterdam (Netherlands) rely on the German manufacturer.

Electric scooters are also becoming more and more popular in the sharing business for financial reasons, as there is an enormous savings potential for vendors in the area of fleet management: Fewer wear parts mean less maintenance and, as a rule, hardly any downtime – if the quality of the used components is right. Compared to lower-priced competing products, GOVECS Electric Scooters guarantee sharing providers a constant fleet availability of more than 90%.

This performance indicator represents the most important success factor for sharing operators and is ultimately decisive for remaining in the market. The incomparable reliability of the GOVECS scooters is accompanied by excellent cost-effectiveness and ensures successful sharing projects worldwide.

Overall, more than 4,500 GOVECS sharing scooters worldwide contribute to improved air quality and less traffic jams in the cities – and the fleets are constantly being expanded. The company aims to bring up to 100,000 sharing scooters to the market in the next 3-5 years.

Schwalbe masters the next level

“Fly Schwalbe, Fly” cheered the big, German weekly newspaper “DIE ZEIT” to the Schwalbe’s comeback in the summer of 2017. As across the country, the electric revival of the cult German scooter caused a sensation. And not just because of its unique design, but also due to the outstanding engineering behind it. The electric Schwalbe’s performance and operating range set a new industry standard.

Connectivity is everything

Networking that is advancing at breathtaking speed is revolutionising all areas of our lives. This is especially the case for transport. Experts expect that even in the near future 80% fewer cars will be congesting the roads in our towns because more and more people are switching from their own vehicles to sharing models. And these are based on intelligent connectivity solutions.
